Stepping Stones Triple P aims to help parents develop effective management strategies to deal with behavior problems and developmental issues common among children with disabilities. Some of the topics covered in this 6 week workshop include:
• How to take care of yourself as a parent by improving your personal coping skills and reducing parenting stress.
• How to use assertive discipline.
• How to develop a close relationship with your child.
• How to teach your child new skills and behaviours.
Dates: Monday, April 29th – June 10th (excluding May 20th)

This workshop is offered free of charge to familiarize volunteers to the leaders' materials used to teach our babysitting course to youth ages 11 and up. This orientation is open to all volunteers interested in leading this workshop at your local community. Please call 204-284-9311 to register.

(For parents of children ages 8 – 18)
Discipline is the one area of parenting that seems to take the most time, attention and energy for parents. This workshop will look at some of the reasons behind your child’s misbehavior, as well as focusing on respectful and positive approaches to dealing with that behavior.
Date: Thursday, May 30th & June 6th
Time: 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Fee: $30.00 per person or $45.00 per couple




This 2 hour workshop is taught by a Registered Nurse and is great for parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends to learn the basics of First Aid in a relaxed and informal learning environment.
Date: Wednesday, May 8th (one day only)
Time: 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Fee: $$30.00 per person (no couple rate)




This individualized one-on-one service will provide you, in your role of parent, with an opportunity to focus on challenges you are experiencing with your child. In conversation with our parent educator, Lori Chrol, you will identify areas of your parent/child relationship that are problematic and receive effective approaches you can use immediately.
