What is The Clothes Closet?
The Clothes Closet, a program of SWFIC, provides work appropriate clothing, free of charge, to women who have either left an abusive situation, or who are in a job training program and are preparing for job interviews. Clients are referred to the Clothes Closet by over 65 partnering agencies throughout Winnipeg.

The Clothes Closet will not be accepting donations between October 14 and November 3 due to our fundraising sale on October 29. Thank you for understanding.

Clothing donations are accepted during office hours of 9 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday at our location in the lower level of the Fort Garry United Church, at 800 Point Road. Please ring the buzzer to enter the building.

We request that donations be clean, current, ready-to-wear clothing appropriate for a women who is going to a job interview. Donations can be dropped off in boxes or bags that are not too heavy to lift. Thank you for your support!

The Clothes Closet is operated by volunteers and relies entirely upon donations from the community.

We are grateful for the following donations
• Suits, jackets• Pants, skirts
• Blouses, tops• Shoes, boots
• Accessories
(jewelry, scarves, purses, belts)
• Coats
• Money so we can purchase additional items for the Clothes Closet such a new undergarments, socks, hosiery etc. Cash donations over $15 will receive a tax receipt.
