Babysitting Workshops in your school or community group
The ‘Basics for Babysitting’ course is a 6.5 hour training program for students ages 12 and over. This program was designed to instill confidence in students, new to babysitting, by providing comprehensive instruction around topics such as:
  • Characteristics of a good babysitter
  • Rights and Responsibilities of Employer and Employee
  • Understanding and caring for infants/toddlers/pre-school and school-age children
  • Accident prevention
  • Dealing with illness and other problems
  • Basic First Aid procedures

Last year alone, our Centre provided training to over 1,300 students. Youth who graduate from the ‘Basics for Babysitters’ program are more confident, better prepared, and more fully understand the responsibilities involved in childcare.
